Hydroton Clay - LECA

Also known as LECA. Hydroton clay is used as a soil alternative. These wonderful clay pebbles absorb moisture and any nutrients that you add to it while providing excellent drainage and aeration. They allow the roots of your plant to get much needed oxygen and can help prevent root rot. 

Rinse and soak before using to remove any dust that may be present. Dust can glog the pores of the clay and prevent aeration. 

You will need to add a small amount of nutrients in order to help your plants thrive. We recommend Liquid Dirt. 

Before you reuse your clay be sure to wash and sterilize.
